Project Specifics

The sanitary sewer system includes combined on-site treatment plants to treat sewage effluent before being returned to the ground. Permitting was coordinated through the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). The systems treat over 20,000 gallons per day (gpd) and the effluent meets or exceeds Secondary Treatment standards as established by ADEM. The treatment systems are placed away from the lake to maximize lake frontage use. This also serves to eliminate the potential problems with individual onsite septic systems contaminating Lake Martin. Homes in this subdivision start at $280,000 and up.
